Assessment
One of the main assignments for the Principles of Learning (PoL) course was to create a digital repository of artefacts gathered during my academic journey. Most importantly, this collection of artefacts must include commentary to show the evolution of my thinking because, without demonstrating change, growth, and learning, a portfolio is simply a collection of thoughts on a theme. This rubric will be used to assess the ongoing growth and development of my thinking as an educator and learner. The rubric is not simply a tool for a professor to mark my portfolio, it is also a guide for me to track my accumulated, new understandings.
It should be pointed out that there were once two styles of rubric on this page (since deleted). They can be seen on the sub-page of this section. I invited Ontario Tech University Professor Dr. Robyn Ruttenberg-Rozen and Hong Kong University Associate Professor/Deakin University Honorary Research Fellow Dr. Juuso Henrik Nieminen to comment on them and have gratefully taken their thoughts into account.
The Assignment Checklist in this section is what I have used to track my progress in completing the required assignments. The second section is the aforementioned Portfolio Rubrics and the final, third version of the rubric.
