Registered Early Childhood Educator
As a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE), it is essential to understand and adhere to the professional expectations governing the field. Each membership year (which for me commences in August), necessitates the development and maintenance of a Continuous Professional Learning (CPL) Portfolio. The required steps and components of the one-year CPL Portfolio cycle are as follows:
Complete the Reflection and Planning Tool, establishing at least one professional learning goal.
Engage in professional learning activities that align with the identified goal.
Monitor progress, gather evidence, and document learning in the Record of Professional Learning.
Upon annual membership renewal, formally declare the completion of CPL requirements for the membership year.
This structured process ensures ongoing professional growth and accountability within the RECE profession.
